Could someone please attempt to restore the very badly damaged photo?
I would also like permission to use restored photo in book and will acknowledge person.
Thank you very much in advance.

I see you have gone off line already but when you return can you rescan this at a higher resolution. This one is a very low 64 (?) dpi and need to be 300dpi to get the finer details (faces) as there is so much damage.
If you need help there is a tutorial at the top of the board ...or just shout and someone will help you
Irene

Irene unfortunately that is all I have. It is from a website http://gordonhighlanders.carolynmorrisey.com/Baird.htm
I have the website owner's permission to use the photo and story for a book on Buchanhaven WW1. I'm hoping to use the orginal and a restoration.
Bill, thank you very much.
