Post by: JAD81 on Tuesday 10 June 14 23:22 BST (UK)
Looking for the place my gt gt grandad is burried, ive had a look on the glasnevin website but cant find him so Im guessing he's burrried with his first wife Sofia Loton. They attended St. Marks church of Ireland. his DOD is 17th June 1930 and address was 42 Upper Dorset St. Does St Marks still exist? and was there a graveyard for it? TIA

St. Mark's existed from the 1700s to the early 1970s when it closed as a CoI church
It was located on Mark Street, off Pearse Street in Dublin 2
It did have a small grave yard attached but I do not know the dates that it operated
The parish records were transferred to the Representative Church Body (http://ireland.anglican.org/information/63)

The building reopened as a  Pentacostal place of worship centre in the 1980s

His place of burial could be any Dublin cemetery
Mount Jerome is the largest cemetery on the south side, close to the city, but is not on-line as yet
