If someone has access to old newspapers, could you please look up the obituary for Arthur Lind who died 9 July 1942 in San Bruno for me? I'm trying to find if he had any relatives mentioned in the article or a probate. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Can't help with the obituary but see Arthur on the 1910/1920/30 census with parents
1910 - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MVGV-NMR
1920 - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MH4X-7F6
1930 - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XCN2-KYK (Anna widowed)

Hi Sandra - thank you for that, I do have the 3 census records but as Arthur died after his parents and had no other family in the USA I was hoping the newspaper article may mention other people in his life as he never married.
-
That's why I was checking back in the records to see what other relatives there may have been. Parents of course had died 1921 and 1931.

I can see at least one article on findmypast and newspapers.com, but I'm not able to view American newspapers on FindMyPast and I don't have a newspapers.com subscription. It's in a newspaper called The Times, but not sure whether it's just a San Bruno or San Mateo county newspaper, or a state newspaper for California in general.

Thank you so much Sandra .... hmmmm I wonder why he ended up with so little as his Mum passed away only a few years beforehand ..... when they were here in NZ in late 1800s they were reasonable well off.
