Hi, The number panel on the right hand side of my keyboard is locked out. That is they don't work, just arrow up, down, sideways etc.
Number lock key won't clear it.
Recently had a pop-up that said accept Grrrrrrrrrrr. Since then I have had the problem.
I have tried to find the answer through Google , but get everything but what I need.
Please can you help?
Mackiwi :)

Mackiwi,
That sounds a bit frustrating! :-[
What operating system are you running there?
If it's a Windows machine it may be worth you looking at one of the Malware links on the following thread:

Trystan
PS It's not just your Numlock button that's faulty is it? Have you tried striking it more firmly than usual?

Hi Trystan,
I have a new windows 8 system. Checked the number lock button and batteries as I have a non plugin keyboard. :(

Talking from experience here, you haven't got any bits of biscuits stuck under the keys have you? :-[
If you suspect that is the case, tip the keyboard upside down and you'll be surprised what falls out ;D

It's Windows 8 not Ubuntu!
Try a system restore.

Click on Start --> Control Panel --> Ease of Access --> Ease of Access Center -->
Click on "Change how your keyboard works" --> Under Control the mouse with the
keyboard, uncheck the check box "Turn ON Mouse Keys" --> Click on OK.

Thank you all for suggestions.
sstarr2008, your suggestions worked :) :)
Mine was a little different but here it is.
Start.....control...ease of access center......Adjust keyboard .......setup mouse keys.....use mouse key when number lock is on....( so I switched it to OFF) Now it works fine :) :) :)
