Title: Rutland Cottesmore. sarah ann RHODES
Post by: suebrew on Sunday 25 May 14 22:22 BST (UK)
hi all, I am researching Sarah Ann Rhodes (born 1858 Rutland Cottesmore) and James graham (b 1857 Barnard castle)
I have a possible marriage for them in Chorlton in 1879, i have 2 possible births for James in Barnard castle but i cannot find a birth for Sarah. I have her from  the 1871 census in Manchester working as a servant. i thought i found her in the 1861 census am not convinced as this is the only census which has birth as Manchester
thanks in advance  ;D

The bride in the 1879 marriage was recorded as just Sarah Rhodes, not Sarah Ann. It was a register office or nonconformist marriage (possibly Catholic), per LancashireBMD.

Has the maiden name been identified from a child's birth certificate?
