Hello
I have just been looking at the 1871 census that i have with Martha Harston born in Leeds 1819ish, she had a daughter Eliza, can anyone read where it states where Eliza was born please...thats if it is her as the second name reads Hannah not Harston.
I can see the last few letters are field, the other children were born in Wakefield but i am sure this is different.
Martha disappears after 1871 ...but i believe she remarries..several times...Eliza just vanishes
would like to find deaths for them both so i can close their trails.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post
Regards

Looks like Heathfield, but may be Wakefield.

The pob to me looks to start with a W the same as W from William (across the page), therefore I am of the opinion that it is Wakefield.

Martha's marriage to George Harston gives her maiden name which may help with any subsequent marriages:
Marriage: 16th March 1847, Holy Trinity, Rothwell, West Yorkshire.
George Harston, 24, labourer. Father: Edward Harston, weaver.
Martha Jackson, 29. Father: John Jackson, weaver.
Witnesses: Joseph Marsden and Hannah Blakely.

Eliza Ann Harston born 20th October 1855 in Wakefield, Yorks. Christened 16th April 1865 at St Andrew, Wakefield, father George and mother Martha.
The surname is spelt Arston on the Parish Record, family address is given as Green Hill in 1865.

Thank for your replies....will go with Wakefield.
I had seen the Arston surname but couldnt decide I it was my family, as I have an original letter stating Eliza was born 1853, not 1855
Eliza, Eliza where did you disappear to?
Kind Regards
