I'm looking for the current whereabouts of Gomm Street, Ardwick, Manchester. It's possible it was destroyed, or renamed. If anyone knows what happened to it, let me know! My great-grandmother lived on there according to the 1911 census.

Have you tried 'googling' 'Gomm Street Ardwick'?
There are various results including a photo of a small section in 1965. There are also mentions of adjacent streets which may help you.

The map of Manchester 1930 has Gomm Street.
http://www.artus-familyhistory.com (Fabulous Site!!!!)
Click onto Manchester 1930 map
Click 3C and then 3A.
(Right near the Recreation Ground in Green)
Looks like the area is part of the Regeneration Area as it has all new housing built.
Also Manchester Images Website has pics of Gomm Street!

Hi
If you look on the map suggested by Cancan and then put Plymouth Grove West in Google and look at the map, you can compare the two.
It looks like St Luke's C of E Primary school is close to where Gomm Street was.
