Can someone please help with a place of birth. William McGovern b c1822 m Alice Berry b c 1823 shows his birthplace as Bsv France. I am at a loss, could it be Military? Father Patrick, Mother Elizabeth Dolan. There is another child to Patrick, Mary Cairney c1815, born in France. Any ideas please?

I don't have access to image but see p.o.b. transcribed as Bsv France
usually BS =British subject- and used when a child of British parentage is born in another country
(often military connections reason for parents being in another country)
wonder if Bsv should really be B su -short for British subject
