Tracing my g g grandparents, William and Isabella Bowman, I have found 5 possible deaths 1838/1841 in Ripon, Yorkshire. Not wanting the cost of 5 certificates, has anyone any ideas which to send for first.
Their twins John and Elizabeth were born Bishop Monkton 1813, and I have them throughout their lives but as the parents are not on any census, I guessed they died young.

I have searched many times and have not seen this before. Thank you.
I have not found a marriage, would this be recorded in parish registers. Do you know if this area is available anywhere. As you can guess a bit green when not on line.

Just noticed William's wife is Elizabeth on the 1841 census.

Hi Lavina,
Perhaps it's the wrong one then, - I was just searching for William Bowman.
Here's a few Sites you could try for PR Marriages:

Goodness... I just had a quick look on the Family Search Site, - & can't believe how many entries there are for William Bowmans married to Isabella's!
I don't have current access to Ances***, - but have you tried looking for the Marriage on there?
Romilly.

Hi Romilly
Now you know the problem!
I have access to that site and will try again.
On the baptism record of the twins, William's occupation is Husbandman. A small farmer who rents his land. I found this record by visiting Northallerton Records Office.
Thanks again your your help and interest.

In all probability then, - his father will also have been a farmer or husbandman.
Have you narrowed down the Parish then? (Would make searching PR's easier).
