Hi,
I'm looking into individuals who fought in WW1 from the Rowley Regis / Cradley Heath area of the West Midlands. I'd like to know where they may have enlisted, Stourbridge or Dudley possibly. I'd also like to know where they trained and what regiments they were likely to have joined from this area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks
Regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin, I think the Great War Forum might help you. :)

In WW1, especially during the later years, recruits were enlisted in whatever regiment needed them!
My relatives, from Somerset, ended up in Welsh regiments!
There was a post yesterday where someone from Lincolnshire ended up in the Staffordshire Regiment.
