Post by: Romina on Thursday 08 May 14 17:29 BST (UK)
still Trying t find a birth of Walter Conner c1871.
was not born in Mitcham have checked.

Was married in Edmonton 1901 to Annie Louise read, on the marriage certificate it states his father was also Walter.
He died 1926 but states birth abt 1868?
They were both buried in Merton (London) lived in Mitcham, Surrey.
I know he had a brother not sure of name who played cricket, once in a match with the prince George! before he became king!
Any one with ideas.

Hi Romina

Have you looked under the alternative spellings of Connor, Connors, O'Connor etc?

Have you found him in 1901 and/or 1911 and what age & birthplace were given for him?

What occupation was given for Walter snr on the 1901 marriage certificate, and who were the witnesses?

Have you found him and Ann on 1911 census? (sorry we are not allowed to do look ups for you), or on 1901 if the marriage was before the census?
When and where does he say he was born ?

(snap , well nearly, avm228!)

Yes but you didn't provide the details from it to help us help you.

Have you found him in 1901 or any earlier census?
