Title: Gage family pre-1800
Post by: jogalvin on Thursday 15 July 04 12:29 BST (UK)
I am trying to trace any Gage ancesters as above. The earliest I have is Edward Gage, whose son John was born about 1733 in Damerham, Wilts., UK. Edward died about June 1774 in Damerham.

"My" Chownes have connections with Firle in Sussex, home to a long line of Gages.

Thank you for your response. I am aware of the titled Gages of Firle but my first requirement is to trace immediate ancestors of the Gages mentioned in my initial request. It would be an added bonus if I eventually traced a connection with Firle Gages.
