I'm stuck on my 2nd great grandfather above. Can anyone point me in the direction of his father/mother? Thanks :)

Did he marry in 1832 to Eliza Grinter at Hinton St George?
There's a Thomas Frost aged 28 on the 1841 census, occupation thatcher Ref HO10107, Sched 1, piece 940 folio 13 page 18.
In addition to Elizabeth aged 30 there are Charles 15, Eliza 10, Ellen 6, Mary 2 and George 0. Also Jean & William Frost both aged 53.

Possible marriage for a William Frost to a Jane Hill in Hinton St George 22/12/1806.

Yes, he married Elizabeth Grinter in 1832. Where did the info come from for William Frost married to Jane Hill. :)

Hi, thats very interesting. Can I access this online? :)
-
It's available on www.findmypast.co.uk.

Hinton St George is well covered on Free Reg and both marriages can be found on the web site.
There is also a baptism for a William Frost 18 Nov 1787 parents William and Sarah.

The baptisms 1813-1837 haven't made it onto FreeREG yet, though they are in progress. A quick look at the fiches gives the following children of William and Jane Frost, Hinton St George, Thatcher.
20 Feb 1814. John
4 Feb 1815, Edward
30 Nov 1817, Henry
16 Jul 1820, Elizabeth
14 Jul 1822, Charles
No sign of a Thomas.

Thanks David. Thats very odd. Thomas must have been the eldest of William and Jane and all the census's he is listed on say he was born in Hinton St George. Is there any reason do you think why his baptism is not listed? His siblings all are.
Cheers

No, not the eldest, that would be Mary Ann in 1807. I was assuming you had the baptisms from before 1813 as they're on FreeREG.
31 May 1807 FROST Mary Ann Somerset Hinton St George
07 Aug 1808 FROST William Somerset Hinton St George
05 Aug 1810 FROST Jane Somerset Hinton St George

Ah, thanks David. Really helpful. So why do you think Thomas is not there??

There's room for Thomas between Jane and John. Perhaps he was baptised elsewhere, or the vicar forgot to record it, or not baptised at all. Or perhaps he was baptised as John but changed his name.
