Thanks Nikksmum - Lovely soft restoration. Of my wife's Grandad Abe of the left. He lied about his age to join the Army in 1914 he was only 16 not usual you may say but he joined the Liverpool Kings 8th Irish in June 1914 before the WW1 started in the August went 4 years at the friont without a scratch. Comes home marries, starts a large family and in May 1941 at home in Liverpool asleep in his bed a thousand miles from Germany is blitzed in bed in Liverpool killing him and his wife and his Seven children. My mother in law his eldest daughter was out at work on a night shift in a parachute factory and returned home to find her home and family gone. Could account for the poor state of the original photo found in the debris Thanks again.
