Dear Helper,
Please could you find this baptism for Mary Ann McKay which might have been in an independent chapel? I Maldon. father George Mc Kay and mother Elizabeth ......
This lady came to Australia and was Married in Hobart c 1830 -40 to a James Smith born Paramatta, NSW who had a relative William Smith in Victoria who paid for the burial plot of Mary Ann Smith. At the time of her death she was the owner of a Licenced Victualler in Keilor Victoria, and many of their connections also owned pubs.
I believe ? Mary Ann McKay was a relative of my gt gt grandfather William Richmond b 1828 Maldon Essex Master Mariner whose father was Henry Harridance of Maldon Essex b 1794 corn merchant, Alderman etc etc . As they died young in a cholera epidemic and are buried in the one plot.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you very much ..ER
Tracking down ancestors named:

hi
I,ve checked the registers for all saints and st peters and also st mary the virgin , between 1800-1820 and she isn,t in any of those also looked at the non conformist bpts I have access to and she doesn,t appear in those either .
do you know if her father was in the army ?, only in the all saints book there are numerous bpts of children whose father was in the army .
can you tell us why you think it may have been a non con bapts ?, anything else you think may help us post it up .
