Title: Looking for a maiden name of ggg grandmother

Have found out that my gg grandfather, James Roper was born in Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland 1815.  I know, from US information, that his father was John Roper and his mother was Catherine.  Nothing on US documents lists her maiden name.  Anyway to find out what it is? 

Their children are:

James Roper b Aug 2, 1815
Ann Roper  b 1819
Bernard/Barnard Roper b 1821
Mary Roper b 1825

Hi re your post. www.rootsireland.ie (a pay site) has baptism records for Donegal.
www.nationalarchives.ie you can look @ Griffiths Valuation records mid 1850's there is a John Roper mentioned. Also on this web site Tithe Applotment books has several Roper entries. It can be difficult searching for this era as it is well prior to Civil registration 1864 in Ireland :)
