I have an ancestor Randle (Ranulphi) Perrin who was married at St. Mary, Acton, Cheshire to Mary (Maria) Sanders on 18 Sep 1670. He died at Sound, Cheshire in 1718 and was buried at Acton. What I wanted to know is if anyone had come across his baptism or who his parents were. In his will it says he is related to Randle Perrin of Weston. Randle had 7 children from two marriages: Mary, Margaret, Thomas and Thomas definitely from the marriage to Mary Sanders and Robert Perrin from a marriage to Catherine Minshull. There are two other children William and Randle according to the will, but cannot determine who the mother is fro these two children.
Can anyone help?

Thank you for the information it is really helpful.

Checked the information it isn't the correct Randle Perrin as the one you mentioned was buried at Wybunbury 04/04/1715, his wife Mary was buried there 02/03/1706. Thank you anyway

I'm curious about the 1670 marriage to Maria/Mary Saunders
Its not showing up on Family Search records and the parish records for St Mary Acton have been indexed both PRs and BTs.
Neither does it show up on the Cheshire Register Project web site and they too have been indexed.

Was it from FindMyPast, and did you look at the actual image or just the transcript ?

Hi Pat,
Acton isn't on CPRdb. The marriage is on the parish registers at FindMyPast on18 Sep 1670 between Ranulphi Perrin and Maria Sanders, you wont find it if you use the search at the moment under those names as the still have it under Ranulphus Perrin and Maud Sanders, it was transcribed wrongly, they are going to change it.

Hi
But wasn't Acton a township in Nantwich and the parish church St Mary's?
The Catherine Minshull marriage at St Mary's is on CPRdb 29 Sept 1687

Acton is a separate parish to Nantwich. The parish church at Acton is St. Mary, the parish church at Nantwich is St. Mary & St. Nicholas, though it is known as St. Mary.
The marriage of Randle Perrin and Catherine Minshull took place at St. Mary & St. Nicholas, Nantwich.

Your quite right of course I had forgotton about St Mary Acton.
My apologies ::) ::)
The bmd registers for Acton have been digitised on Family Search but neither the marriage or the 1718 death record that you need seem to be showing up.
I can understand one missing but really unlucky to have both of them missing.
If you haven't already contacted them then the CRO might be able to help.

Think I need to go back to bed !!!
I've found both now on Family Search.

They are both on FindmyPast. There are burial at Acton for a Randle and Elizabeth Perrin who maybe my Randle Perrin's parents, but without a baptism around 1645, it is impossible to confirm.

There was also a Perrin family resident in Wistaston parish for many generations. They held the tenancy of Church House Farm from Walthall family of Wistaston Hall.
