Title: HEBBLETHWAITE in Wakefield
Post by: Malcolm Butcher on Thursday 20 March 14 20:10 GMT (UK)
John Hebblethwaite, born in 1820 in Wakefield.  Married Frances Crawshaw in 1842 in Stockport.  They had three children: Mary (1843), Ann (1848) and Joseph (1852), all born in Manchester.  Is anybody else researching this family?

hi there.....

out of curiousity of this rare name.....  the are 450 odd entries on lancs opc site principally from St Oswald....       a number of folk have trees on anc.........    there are 830 odd pages of articles on British Newspaper archive site about this family name and some of it makes for interesting reading.....   I would suggest buying a subscription for the site .................     i would also reccommend usuage of London Gazette site and the law courts sites at large........   i would also be checking the indexes of Kew thru the National Archives site........ and the county archives indexes..........     seems many of them were notable in their own right............   good luck   with a most interesting surname....   i know you are looking at a yorkshire lineage but the primary structures seem worthy of attention as well
