My 2x Great Grandmother was born in Voguebeloth in 1852. Does anyone know where I can find  information about Voguebeloth? I have tried searching the Internet and I have found information about Redruth but nothing about Voguebeloth.

I'm not from Cornwall though love the area but I was wondering where did you find the name voguebeloth. Was it on her birth certificate or somewhere else?

It's in Illogan!

Found by using Google - did you try that? ;D

There was a Wesleyan Chapel there.

Many thanks for your replies, yes it is on her birth certificate and at first I thought it was a spelling mistake, I didn't google it but I will go and try that.  :)

On a modern OS map Voguebeloth is on Basset Road, Illogan. From the crossroads at Paynters Lane End turn towards Gilberts Coombe, Redruth. It starts around the site of the modern day surgery & runs east but finishes before the junction of Merrits Hill.
Genuki has records & more links of the local parish church of Illogan.
