Could you please date this picture, I think it is my maternal granddad, I only found it amongst my late mothers effects three weeks ago, its been hidden in a brown envelope for twelve years in our loft!! Thank you in advance much appreciated. JO

A bloke in a mac... right.
Those drainpipe trousers with the turnups finishing above the ankle were a pre WW1 style but continued to be popular until the very early 20's.

Might help if you could show the outer edges and also the back if there is any printing on it. Doesn't have to be so big :)

Smart hat, bow-tie, shoes, but crumpled mac and trousers too short.  An interesting mixture.

Maybe inherited some clothes.

HI So sorry for not being in touch but caught the shingle virus YUK, Thank you all for your help I was hoping for 1920!!!! He does look ramshackled they were quite poor. there are no marks on back or anywhere else that would help. The first thing I noticed was the cigarette it looks fake to me its probably a "Prop". Once again thank you all I will try to make the images smaller if I need help in the future!
