Title: Loughborough, Leicestershire Phillips graves

Hi all,

I have many, many generations of my family with the surname Phillips who were born and died in the Loughborough, Leicestershire area of Britain. Most the historical sources state the district as Emmanuael.

My question is that I intend to visit Loughborough and check churchyards for gravestones and wondered if someone with 'local' knowledge would know which church/graveyard would most likely to be the one where I would find my ancestors?

Leicestershire & Rutland Family History Society
Their local records indicate no PHILLIPS burials at Emmanuel, Loughborough, but 8 PHILLIPS burials at Loughborough Cemetery, 1873-1913.

Not sure if you will see this but just to let you know I didn't find anyone. I found the plots they were buried in but all signs of headstones gone.
Disappointing but at least I know.
