See from googling a site Knowsley Local History with mention of Tarbock Road now called Windy Arbor Road

It`s about 6 miles from where I live in Garston ....Tarbock Lane used to have Railway Cottages when I was a kid over 50 years ago ....IF - I remember correctly - I think it backed on to RAILWAY LINE ....
Keyboard - in 1861 census ,are most residents Railway workers ??...if not - I might be getting confused ...( senior moment ...lol )

Hi,Garstonite
Which end of,Whiston where the cottages,Dragons Lane (George and Dragon Pub) or Pottery Lane(Quarry Inn pub, AKA Caseys). I know my GGreat grandmother,Annie Saunders bn 1851 walked
From the cottages across the fields to,Page Moss, Huyton where she worked as a domestic servant.
I presume the railway line at the back of the cottages was the,Liverpool - Huyton Quarry - Manchester line, or was it the,Liverpool - Huyton - Wigan line?
The only cottages i can remember where at the bottom of,Whiston Lane across the road from,Caseys pub ,but that was 50+ years ago.
