Good Morning.
A 1878 birth certificate I obtained from New Zealand lists the mother's birth place as Kerry Castle Ireland. I am not sure what this means. I see there are many Castles in County Kerry and can not really find a town of Kerry.
Thanks for any insight.

Thanks Maureen. With the help of New Zealand Roots Chat members I found that my first instinct of James McGowan and bride was wrong and have identified James Ingram McGowan and wife Mary Jane Robinson from Armagh, Ireland as the true contenders. So, the plasterer and his wife from Kerry Castle are no longer our viable family members.
Thanks for your help,
