Hello and welcome  :)

Are you sure that James in 1911 is your James?Have you checked 1911 census?
We aren't allowed to publish many details from the 1911 census on this forum but I don't think he is a sailor  :-\
Where were the children born and where did Johanna die?
What are you looking for in connection with James?

Regards
Heywood

Katherine married in 1905.   https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F6HF-SJ7

She possibly emigrated in 1900 from Waterford if that is her on Ellis Island site.

There is also a daughter, Margaret https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FG6P-CJF

We are allowed to post what is available in the free indexes for 1911 but not allowed to do searches. As you have searched yourself, then that is permissible I believe.

Is this the man you have seen?

I don't think he is a Sailor. I wonder if he is this James Deegan from 1901?

James Deegan 41 yrs Tailor's cutter born Ireland. He is with a wife Sarah and several children.
On one daughter's marriage certificate, he is a Tailor.

Tailor/Sailor?

Have you looked for James in Waterford? Do you know what happened to the other children? Did they emigrate?
