Title: Baptism, Marriage and Christening Look-Ups?

I've looked long and hard through websites trying to find parish records for these ancestors but can't find anything. I was at Nottinghamshire Archives the other day and never got chance to look for these on Microfiche, does anyone have access to please take a look at these for me?

Marriage and Burial - William Thumbs born 1774 in Nottinghamshire
Marriage and Burial - John Thumbs born 1716, Radford Nottinghamshire
Baptism and Burial - William Thumbs born 1690, Nottinghamshire

Nothing showing on the Notts CD or the Phillimore marriages for those names.

I think you may have all the Thums which are on the Notts FHS CD from your earlier post.

There is a new CD coming out soon with more parishes covered, so there maybe something on there.

Did you try Thumbs or Thums?
Pre 1792, my surname was Thumbs. It changed when my GGGGGGrandfather was born.

There's a burial on the Notts FHS Burial CD:

William Thumbs 11.11.1789 at Radford. Describes him as a framework knitter but unfortunately no age at death given.

John Thumbs burial at Shelford 30.12.1810 -  again no age given. Probably too old.

No baptisms or marriages found.

There are only 17 burials on the Cd for Thum(b)s.Of those, 8 are in Radford.
This one I thought interesting, even though it may have no link to you. Me , being an anorak, would file it away  ::)
1-5-1787 Elizabeth Thumbs buried at Radford, notes:- "Dau of William junior a Soldier ( who died in America) & Elizabeth."

Hi, I think it's a long shot but I found these marriages for a William Thumbs....

William Thumbs married Melicent Sneath at St Mary Magdalene, Hucknall Torkard on 19/01/1819

William Thumbs married Sarah Tomlinson at St Michaels Linnby on 26/10/1829

It's the Radford ones that I am interested in
And hm, that is interesting, I can't find a William of whom she'd be related to though....
