Title: Burfoot family
Post by: pippi3 on Monday 17 February 14 23:49 GMT (UK)
hi all, Im trying to trace any information re my gt gt grandparents Mary Burfoot (b abt 1838, in Stauntin) married John Sims ( b abt 1837 in Moreton Valance) One of their son's John Sims (b abt 1870) being my paternal gt grandfather.  I have no backgroud to Mary at all !!

I have exhausted my Ancestry resources as far as I can tell,  and am rapidly creating a new brick wall for myself. Fellow rootchatters have been very helpful in getting me to the point I'm at now with my SIMS research so can impose upon you all again with this one.

many thanks
Vicki

Thanks Carole,
No not a thing. cannot find a marriage record on Ancestry either, all I can tell you is that they were registered as married  by the 1861 census and living in Hardwicke where John was listed as an ag lab, they also had 3 children by this stage.

thanks for all your help CaroleW and keyboard86. I'm pretty sure I'm on the right track now with this family. I had a feeling there might have been some variation in Mary's surname. Quite a common occurance isn't it!!
