Hi,
Does anyone have access to parish (catholic) records for County Clare? Could you please look for a christening of Ellen Malone, born/christened 1851.
Thank you. :)

Hi There
I'm afraid that you will need the name of the parish that she came from to see if records still exist for that parish. You will also need her parent's names.

Hi,
Thank you for the details.
I have no details on her except she arrived in South Australia in 1866 aged 15 years. The family story says she was from County Clare.

Hi Sue
Try finding her on an assisted Immigrants list, or ships passenger list, or Bounty immigrants list, for those who landed in Sth Aust. If she came with her parents their names will also be listed, with any other siblings. I'm sure it would be easier to find someone in S.A than NSW where my research is based.
Happy hunting

Also try to find a reference to her in Trove. Just use her name, year and ship's name if you find it, and search the Sth Aust. newspapers. They often printed passengers names.
