Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is possible but after browsing on the British Columbia museum website for births, marriages and deaths, I have found an entry which may refer to the death of one of my relatives. However, frustratingly, I can't seem to access the image.
Is anybody able to retrieve it for me please? I'm unsure how Canadian records work and would appreciate a little help from good people on here.
The entry is as follows:
Name: JOHNSTON, MARY
Gender: Female
Age: 72
Date: 1944/03/21
Event Place: VANCOUVER
Registration Number: 1944-09-640225
B.C. Archives Mfilm Number: B13182
GSU Mfilm Number: 1983205
Event Type: Death
If this entry is the lady I am looking for then her maiden name should be QUINN.
Any help on this would be appreciated!
Matt :)

Hi,
Family search record gives the maiden name as Quinn - Father :- henry Quinn and Mother :- Margaret Ann Mcguigan

Sandra, that's great! Thanks for that.
I've neglected FamilySearch a bit of late. I suppose this goes to show that I shouldn't!
I'll do some more digging and see if I can find her family now!
Thanks again,
Matt.

You're very welcome, pleased to help. You were rather unlucky not being able to access the death cert for Mary or it would see husband Thomas :'(
Since you have the dates of death for both, maybe an e-mail to Vancouver Public Library might unearth more details or a couple of obituaries. They are very good apparently.

Quite a few death records are indexed on the Royal British Columbia Museum and Archives site but do not have an attached image of the death record. I have found that one can ask the archives to look up the original record and that they are quite willing to do so and provide a digitized copy by e-mail or by post. They have a form, someplace, for making such a request.
