James RUSSELL was an ironmonger in Farnham Surrey.
He was born ca 1755.
On 6 September 1785 he married Jane Marchant.  They had a son, John Russell (1786-1834).

About 1794/5 he married for a second time.   His spouse was Mary (maiden name not known).
They had three children - Martha baptised 2 October 1795;  James baptised 2 June 1797;  and Richard baptised 20 May 1801 - all born in Farnham.

If anyone is researching this family and has any information concerning the parentage of James the ironmonger, I would appreciate hearing from you.   His father's name may have been John Russell.

James RUSSELL of the Parish of Farnham in Surrey, widower and Mary SNUGGS of this Parish, spinster. Married by Licence 14th February 1794.

Both signed register

         Martha RUSSELL baptised 26th Aug 1857. Father = John RUSSELL. No mother listed.
         Mary RUSSELL baptised 3rd Aug 1859. Father = John RUSSELL. Mo mother listed.

There is a Will on Anc* that looks very interesting.

Thew Will of John Russell (a blacksmith)  of Harnham ( actual will reads Farnham) dated 16 Jul 1793. The executor of the Will is his son James Russell, and leaves bequests to his children James, Martha, Sarah , Mary and Ann. It also mentions a Patty Russell (grand-daughter) dau. of his late son William. It also mentions some land in the parish of Crondall, known as (looks like) 'the Doves'.

John Russell was buried 8 July 1793 Crondall, All Saints.

It looks like James Russell's will is also on there dated 23 Mar 1816 . Mentions sons ~ John, James and Richard.

Found this burial which could be useful

Ann the wife of John RUSSELL of Farnham was buried Nov. 29th 1762, at Crondall, All Saints.
