Was Isabella Beattie born around 1896 in Greenock?
Have just one that belongs to my family tree, her parents were Matthew Beattie & Agnes Harper. Agnes is my GG Aunt on my mothers side. So Isabella would be 1st cousin 2x removed.
Cheers
Iain

My grandmother was Isabella (nee Beattie) Cairney.
Her brother Matthew Beattie married Agnes Harper in the 1890s.
Their only child I know of was Maggie Beattie according to my grandmother.
Regards, James.

Just catching up with this thread after a while, looks like the same person who I'm looking for info on.
Matthew Beattie married Agnes Harper in 1893 and had the following children, Isabella(1896) & Margaret(1900).

Hello Grianaig,
My information now is that as well as having Isabella & Margaret, Matthew & Agnes also had two other daughters who died in infancy: Marjorie (died 16 sept 1895) & Agnes (died 23 nov 1907).
This information comes from Rootsweb & Watt library Greenock.
My Grandmother, Isabella was Matthew's sister. Any information you can give about Matthew's family will be gratefully received.
Thank you,
James.
