Title: Divorce maybe

need help ,  Ellen. Julia. Handford.  married my grandfather Arthur. Holland. on the 21 jul 1909 St George Altrincham Cheshire England
he came out to Australia after the ww1 in 1923 and married my grandmother
Elizabeth. Bye. in 1924 . The puzzling bit is that there seems to be no divorce  or death record
his army records were destroyed in ww2 bombing so i cannot trace her there . would any one be able to help or may be have some idea's .

On his marriage certificate to your grandmother, does it say Widower or Divorced for his status?

is it possible that she came to australia with him and died in australia?
