I am try to find more details on a Susan Cooper Baxter.
She married Frank Ainsworth in St Paul's Church Scotforth Lancaster. Sep 1915.
He emigrated to New Zealand in 1926 leaving her in England.
I posted on the New Zealand board and got lots of useful information but I'm still not sure if this is the correct Frank.
There is a divorce registered in New Zealand in 1929.
Frank Ainsworth is possibly my Father's brother who cut himself off from the family.
More information on Susan would help my search.
I have sent for a marriage certificate but just wondered if by chance anyone had any other information.

Hi Jocie, can give us an idea of ages shown on their marriage certificate or on any other paperwork you have uncovered. Kit

As per LancashireBMD for 1939
WILKINSON * Edwin spouse AINSWORTH Susan Cooper
WILKINSON * Edwin spouse BAXTER Susan Cooper
Lancaster Register Office or Registrar Attended Preston LANC/61/4
the * suggests alternative surnames for the marriage which would normally indicate a second marriage

Some trees on Ancestry have Susan born in Northern Ireland.

Can you post the details you have of Frank Ainsworth - and , if your father has passed away , your fathers details - it would be more conclusive to confirm them as brothers first - otherwise your research on Susan Cooper Baxter / Ainsworth / Wilkinson is pointless ?
If your father is still alive , don`t post his details ,

See previous thread for more information re Frank:

I am sure he had a brother called Frank who emigrated to New Zealand but I'm not sure the Frank Ainsworth I have the information from New Zealand on is the correct one.
Certainly if Frank married an Irish girl it would have explained the family rift. He would have been disowned by the rest of the family. My Irish school friend wasn't allowed in the house!!

Thanks for the Irish census return it looks a strong possibility.

Here's the link to the 1911 Irish census entry- note the family were Church of Ireland not Catholic-

same family in 1901- mistranscribed as Bexter-

I now have the marriage certificate for Frank Ainsworth and Susan Baxter. I've posted details on the NZ board. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=675680.new#new
Her father was an Alexander Baxter (Mechanic) and her age is given as 23 which fits with the details on the Irish census returns you kindly found were definitely correct.
