Title: Newbound family in Oxton, Nottinghamshire
Post by: BCsandra on Friday 31 January 14 21:37 GMT (UK)
Hello - looking for a connection (if there is one?) between John Newbound (b abt1801 Oxton) who married Sarah Tomlinson (28 Nov 1825 Oxton) and had a son named Samuel (bap 1 Feb 1835 Oxton)    AND  George Newbound (b abt 1802 Oxton) married Ann Shepherd (5 Jan 1824 Car Colston) and had a daughter named Elizabeth (bap 4 Dec 1825)

to explain what I DO have...(a bit longish).. George & Ann's daughter, Elizabeth Newbound married Richard Swift in 1847 and among many children, she had a son, Reuben (b 1865) who is shown in the 1881 Census as farm servant with Samuel Newbound and his wife & family - just trying to see if Reuben is actually staying with his mother's cousin or if they are a relative at all???

Thanks in advance for any info!!

unfortunately there are no Newbound baptisms in Oxton for this time period shown on the FHS CD.
However there are these 3 baptisms at Oxton St Peter and St Paul, parents Charles and Catherine
