Title: Forrest family history

I am just starting research on Forrest family. Per family stories, my ancestor came from County Cork Ireland in the late 1700's with a brother. James David Forrest and Shadrac Forrest. Anyone with info would be great! Or any ideas on how to proceed would also be welcomed!! Thanks!!!

Hello & welcome to rootschat. The information you have posted is vague - where did these Forrest brothers live outside of Ireland. What is the name of your ancestor approx dob. Do you have a marriage for him? If you have any further information it may be possible to help :)

There have been a number of previous threads on Forrests of Co. Cork.  Have you consulted those?  They may be of use.
