Hi, i am hoping someone can help me find the parents of James Bosson from Rushton Staffordshire. the only info i have is he married Lydia Harris. They had a son Thomas Bosson born i think 14/11/1889 and registered 17/9.1889. the Cert is from Wolstanton,Staff. It looks like the address says Bridgewater Rd, Rushton.can't read the writing clearly.thanks And maybe if there is any further information on his wife Lydia Harris or would i do a separate post for her, thank you.

Hi,
Familysearch has his marriage
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NX61-CT3
There is a marriage JAS 1855 Wolstanton
Mary Rhead and George Bosson
1861 census does not specify son, just a dash although in 1871 he is down as son.
Did wonder if he could be a grandchild because of Marys age .

[/quote] Hi, thank you guys for all the help. there is just one thing that is slightly bugging me. I was looking up George Bosson Born 1813, and came across someone else looking for info on the same George. They stated they have a marriage cert for Georges second marriage to Mary Rhead stating the father of George as George Bosson occ Farmer. I'm not sure if that is right or not,as it differs from your info with Georges (1813) parents as James Bosson and Margaret Dean.

That seems to be a good match for George.
There is a published tree for George with parents James and Margaret Dean and a marriage to Sarah Merrill in 1832.
Is that the marriage you have seen?
-
Hi,I'm going with you guys on this one. The post i read was on a British Genealogy site, with a question, "Does any one have any info on George Bosson born 1813,Tunstall, married twice first to Maria lockett 1839, and second marriage to Mary Rhead 1855, on the second marriage states on his marriage Certificate, his father as George Bosson, deceased Farmer." and said had a child James Rhead Bosson. Where as we have parents as James Bosson and Margaret Dean, married 1793. Just thought it may be worth questioning, unless i have read something wrong somewhere, i did have another look at that post to make sure i read it right. thanks.

I just checked this marriage and Sarah Merrill married Samuel Bosson so that tree is wrong.

Now there are actually 2 George Bossons born Cheshire living in Staffordshire yours and one born 1815 Alsanger/Betchon/Sandbach (depending on which census you look at) but on the 1851 census he has his brother in law John Webb living with them so logically his wife's maiden name was Webb
Off FreeREG 10.10.1836 St Margaret Wolstanton George Bosson batchelor collier to Mary Webb spinster unfortunately the fathers are not named

-
On the Cheshire Parish Register Project website there is a George Boston baptised 18.1.1815 Davenham parents William and Charlotte who might be the one who married Mary Webb
Unfortunately there is no sign of the George who married Maria and Mary

I am so lost with the George information I have as one relative shows George as being born in 1830 and another relative has him being born in1813 and then I was given a copy of a death certificate saying he died in 1871 at the age of 54. I have searched and there are so many George Bosson. Spacecookie do you have the right George? Please help
-
Welcome Celoralee :)
George who dies in 1871 (aged 57 yrs not 54 yrs) is the one referred to in reply 5. He is shown as born Harlington in 1871, with wife Mary and son Jas R.
There is another George, who in some censuses is born Harlington abt 1830.
He is married to Phoebe.
Does this help you?

One of my biggest things is finding the right George because this is where I am stuck. I have been given a few different pieces of info and they are all different Georges so I was hopeing if spacecookie had found something out that could help me to unravel this mystery.
And am wondering if he had other children with his first marriage. And who his father and mother are.
Spacecookies Thomas is my Gr Grandfathers Brother so I thought this a great place to start.

Hi Coralee, The info i have is George Bosson left ahead of his family to come to NZ.
George Bosson 18yrs occ clerk left on the ship Delphic London to Wellington 25/9/1901.
The rest of the family followed to NZ on the Ship Ionic 1/6/1905.
There is a George Albert Bosson on the NZ Electoral Roll 1905-6 Hawera, and 1911 Farmer, living with Bosson family members. Going by the age, would put his bith abt 1882-3

Hi, i had some further info given by someone trying to find the Death of Mary Bosson(Rhead) that she may have married again to a Philip Hancock in 1885 Woolstanton, why couldn't find a death for her as Mary Bosson. I don't know when George Bosson died,or whether this is correct. There is a death for a Mary Hancock 1890. thanks
