Title: Marriage look up

I am trying to locate the marriage of John Henry Mayfield to an Elizabeth.
John was killed in ww2 at anzio in march 1944 and Elizabeth was residing in chesterfield at the time of death, john was born in Bulwell/basford area of notts, sorry for the lack of detail.

There's a marriage on FreeBMD in Q2 1941 in Nottingham Registration District between a

John H Mayfield
and
Elizabeth Thorneycroft

Is that the one you're after, do you think?
