I need help in finding the baptism and or birth dates of Ann Ring, born around 1797at Stretton Rutland . She married Thomas Toon 12 Nov 1828 at Great Casterton and died around 1875 in Great Casterton Lincolnshire. Thanks in advance, Kaseydog

Have looked at my records and there is a marriage of Ann King not Ring to Thomas Toon 12/11/1828 at Gt Casterton.  I cannot find any bp for Ann Ring or King in Stretton on the date you givr, the only one is Anne King bp 17/3/1776 Stretton which seems unlikely as Ann is given as born 1797 on 1851,61 and 71 census.

I will keep this infor for a couple of weeks and  if you have any more details I will gladly have another look for her or any siblings etc you are looking for.

 I took the name from IGI so it looks like a transcription error. I took a look again at the 1841 Census Lincs, there is a William King aged 83 widower born Stretton and a nephew Linsey 22 yrs at the same place as Thomas and Ann.
 I know people do not always get baptised in the place they were born so it looks like a search.
Ann King Baptised 17/3/1776 could be a sister to William King (who is on IGI Bapt 12 Aug 1770 Stretton Father Richard Mother Elizabeth).
I think I will start at Ketton as there seems to be a few Toon's around there.

I've had another look and I think you are right that William and Anne were siblings, children of Richard/Elizabeth.
I can give you their other children if you don't have them.
It seems there were Kings in Stretton at least back to 1705.

William  19/7/1770

I think Ann(e) married John Bayley in 1800 in Stretton and Mary ma John Wells of Bourne in 1786.  Hope this helps you progress.
