Yes, that could be a posibility which would make him 22 when he died in 1918, There was no other information on him on CWGC site only naming his Brother David.
THank you

If he was Harry, he'd be 43 when he died. The address is the same as the one given for his brother David on the CWGC site, so it must be the same family. I see he was in the labour Corp - was that for older soldiers?
-
Whoops, as soon as I sent it I realised I had made an error in his age. Labour Corp, was sent behind fighting force " to clean up".
It does seem a mystery why he is not showing up on any census.
Thank you for all you help, I will follow the Harry suggestion that they may be one of the same and see where I get.

Very often a soldier when down graded medically would be transferred tot he Labour Corps..John Bridge was gassed at some time according to his "Soldiers Effects" entry.

I too am looking into the Risby men but need more post before I can PM
-
One man I am stuck on at present is John Victor DANIEL got nothing to go on as yet. The other 13 should be OK once we get Harry or John Bridge sorted.
It s the WW2 men that give the most problems

Forgot to add that his Soldier Effects also give brothers David and Robert, sisters Mary and Hannah (Martin), so it does look as if he may very well be John for the military and Harry/Henry at home.
