Not as far as I know, but Sculcoates is, of course, part of Hull now. If you want to post the names of the people you're looking for, those of us who live in Hull will do our best to help.

It looks like the Sculcoates page has either been removed, or, possibly, merged with other pages on this site.
If you go to
http://www.dixon115.freeserve.co.uk/
you will see:
It also contains information about the East Riding of Yorkshire(England)
where I, and many of my ancestors, were born and live(d).
My special area of interest is Sculcoates.
enter the site, then click on the Hull/East Riding map for more information:
http://www.dixon115.freeserve.co.uk/eastriding.htm
Hope this helps,
Bob

Welcome to Rootschat Steve. To send Compo a personal message, click on the green scroll under his name, a new page will open where you can send him a Personal (private) Message. Next time he logs on to Rootschat, he will get a message telling him he has a personal message. If he has opted to receive e-mail reminders, he will receive an e-mail telling him he has a personal message.
Hope that is clear.
You could also click on his name to look at his profile and near the bottom of the page, you'll see a line that states "Send this member a personal message" or something similar.

Hi Stm,
Welcome to RootsChat :)
just to clarify: new members must have at least three countable postings
(*) before they can send PMs, which is why you didn't see the scroll before.
Enjoy RootsChat :)

This is pretty exciting, seeing my grandfather and grandmothers marriage there in black and white. I am hoping Compo comes back soon.

SULCOATES
Hello first time posting on Sulcoates
I am looking for an Alfred Conelius Turner, who married a Kate Southern /also known as Kate Cook
They married in May 1901 - I have their marriage cert, and I have Kates info, I am now searching for Alfred.
BMD say they were married in Sulcoates, on the marriage cert it says Kingston Upon Hull - I am not from the UK so am not familiar with the changes of districts at all
Kate is daughter of William Blakey Southern and Ester Southern (Ester was born Hester Day and died Hetty Cook - so she remarried after Southern passed) that is why Kates is also known as Cook
Thanks for your help
Sara

Hello
Alfred Turner and Kate Turner formerly Southern/Cook had a daughter Elsie Gray, born 4th January 1906 - registered in Sculcoates - sub district Hessle in the Counties of Kingston Upon Hull York
I cannot find the marriage of Alfred Turner and Kate Southern Cook because it was after the 1901 census - they married in May.
I cannot find Elsie Gray for the same reason - born 1906 in De La Pole Avenue / 2 Fairmount Avenue
Alfred Turner was a stonemason
thanks
-
I don't understand what you mean that you can't find the marriage of Alfred Turner and Kate Southern/Cook as it was after the 1901 census, when you say you have their marriage certificate. Also you know that Elsie Gray was born on 4 January 1906.
What are you searching for? If you want Alfred's birth, his marriage certificate should give his age, then it's just a matter of searching for him in that year.

Thanks Lizzie
I am searching for the Turner family details
Alfred Cornelius linage, I cannot find him on ancestry.com and the BMD does not list mothers maiden name
thanks

I have just read your message and would like to suggest this data from my family : In the 1851 census "David Lyons (78) listed as Chelsea Pensioner Sergeant 3rd Veteran Battalion living at 9 Higson's Court, Hull . Also there is Daniel (23) butcher, Isabella (23) dau. in law and James (21) son butcher. Benjamin Watson is listed as a lodger Butcher."
Part of my family lived in that area for another 40 years. I would be happy to provide you with much more info. The map of 1853 shows the area in real detail.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me about the Sanatorium, Hedon Road, Hull. I am looking for Alice Mary Wells b1906 and listed as a patient on 1911 census at the Sanatorium but only aged 5. Dose this mean she was disturbed or just ill with flu ?
Many thanks

It was for people with Infectious Diseases...most likely T.B.
