Title: Does anyone have a current Manchester Phone Book?
Post by: missingmccabe on Saturday 11 January 14 21:45 GMT (UK)
Could you please PM me?  I have a name that I need to get a phone number for and was hoping someone could help.  It is to locate a deceased relative.  Thank you

If you use the web site www.thephonebook.bt.com (http://www.thephonebook.bt.com) you can look up any phone number in the UK (as long as they aren't ex directory) :)

If someone has died and BT has been notified it is possible that they will no longer show up since it should be more up-to-date than the paper copy (though given how fast BT normally work....)

Certainly worth a try anyway.

See that your profile says you are in U.S. so just to translate- 'ex-directory' would be the same as 'unlisted' in U.S.
