Pricilla Rothwell, lived in Dublin possibly 1840's
-
Welcome to Rootschat but you'll need to let us know exactly what sort of information you are looking for and fill in any more details that you can. For example, is Rothwell her married or maiden name? where did you get the 'lived in Dublin possibly 1840s' from?
-
Pricilla Rothwell was married to Valentine Doak from Tullylish. They are my GG Grandparents. I cannot find their parents but have lots of information since

You still haven't given us an idea of when she might have been born, etc. so it's very difficult to offer any advice.
Tullylish, Co. Down?
What about marriage?

Valentine's widow born Co.Down:

1911 says born Co.Armagh:

Possibly just a co-incidence-?
"Doak Priscilla of 17 Turin Street Belfast 2 October 1931 Administration Belfast 23 November to Thomas Doak mechanic the husband. Effects £246 9s 2d."

So, where does Dublin come into this (other than son Joseph born there 1866)?

Apparently Valentine Doak was in the Indian Army according to my mother, she got information off her Grandmother Martha Pricilla Mayes, apparently she was born on a ship. Can't verify any of this. Was just thinking since Matha's was registered in Limerick and Joseph registered as born in Dublin. Hadn't read 1901 Census as to where Pricilla Doak was born. I have the information on Valentine Doak but can't find his parents or anything on Pricilla Rothwell (his wife). Don't think Doak of Turin Street are related. The name Valentine does follow to my mothers family, her brother, missing for 60 odd years, he is Valentine Howard Magill and his brother Tom Magill also disappeared around the same time. Have searched as much as I can and cannot find either and family have no information what so ever apart from them being born 1915 and 1916

The main problem is find out where Priscilla and Valentine where married I have a feeling that valentine was a widowder at the time of his marriage but need the marriage cert to prove that if its true that it is the same valentine that married sarah Adamson in 1851 in tullylish and his father was alexander

Hi there
This may be irrelevant - and if so my apologies - but is there any connection between the Doaks of Tullyish and a family of Doaks (father may have been Robert or James) that arrived in America about 1720
By 1740 they were in Augusta Co, VA, and before that in Chester/Lancaster Co, PA
