:D Second photo, sorry no frame info. I have two ladies in mind.
1: dated 1869 - 1968
2: dated 1894 - 1970
Can any one give me a year of the photo and age of the rather lovely lady. (well I think she is lovely)
-
My guess would be no.2...lovely photo.

Thanks Carol
I am leaning that way. A grand Auntie to my wife....But I think she is stunning.
How old do you think she may be?

What a fabulous photo!
Hats were at their widest around 1911, and the v-necked blouse came into fashion in 1913/14. So, as you can wear a style that is a little out of date, but you cannot wear one that hasn't been invented yet, this has to be after 1913/14.
But as the hat is still pretty wide, and what a hat it is :)...I'd put this right at the start of the v-neck blouse. Call it 1914. So the younger woman.
Cheers,
China

Hi Peter......Would your lovely lady like a clean and colour ?......I have done one if you are interested.

Say yes, Peter...Carolyn does stellar work and I know she's just itching to post it ;D

Well what can I say.... I'm even more in love with my wife's auntie.. She is/was stunning.
Thank you so much Carolyn and to you Saddles for your info. I guess she was about 20, two years later she was married, lucky fella.

Thanks Peter for your kind words and I am pleased you approve of the makeover.
regards Carolyn :)

Hi Carolyn and Saddles
I'm posting again another picture, which I believe is the same lady but younger. Mainly for dating.
Peter

Certainly looks like her, doesn't it? Not much earlier, or we'd run into a fairly specific "look"...maybe about 1912 or so. The first photo could be a bit later then.
She is wearing silk in this photo.
Beautiful restore by Carolyn as always :)
Could we see the back please...is it a postcard?
Cheers,
China

Okay.
Ooh Carol, how smashing! Perfect frame! :)

Hi Carol
I may have closed my post a little early without a proper thank you for your work on the picture. I now have two works of art. Your frame really does suit the picture which has been cleaned up so well.
I really must find out how to do the things you both did. But then I would spoil your fun and pleasure so had better not.
So again thank you so much.
In the next day or so I will have some more pictures of what I believe to be the same family for you to date for me . Boring men this time

Thank you Sally.
Another one for the collection... It really is quite amazing the efforts you all make that bring these long gone relatives back to life with colour.
Thank you again
