Title: Malcolm Bull's Calderdale Companion
Post by: Malcolm Bull on Sunday 05 January 14 10:20 GMT (UK)
On Friday, my email account at SKY.COM was compromised.  Many of my contacts received a fake email, ostensibly from me in the Ukraine, asking for money.  All my contacts were deleted and I did not receive any emails on or after Friday.  I have now discontinued use of my SKY email address calderdaleATskyDOTcom until further notice

If you sent me an email to the above address, and I have not yet acknowledged or replied, please contact me by PM for my new email address.

I have changed all the pages of my Calderdale Companion website to show my new email address

My apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this debacle

Hello Malcolm
Glad it was a scam, and you are not on your uppers.  How do I do a PM?

Not directly relevant to your recent problems, perhaps, just a "thank you" for a delightful site, which has kept me browsing for ages, and often given me interesting information.

Thanks.  Every little encouragement helps when I have to contact hundreds of people and businesses tellling that I'm not in the Ukraine and that I've changed my email, and feeling like packing the website in

Malcolm
I reckon most of us realised the email was a scam and deleted it (or blocked it and/or junk mailed it).
Don't "pack it in". Your website is wonderful
