Hello,
I am searching for a record of Arthur George Stone. He was born in England on October 17,1879. He moved to San Antonio, Texas, USA sometime between 1879 and 1896, the year of his first born child Adela Stone. In 1898 his second daughter Alice Stone was born.
His children could have been born under that name of Mary Louise (Adela) and Eliza (Alice) Stone. His wife is name Mary Valenzuela, no record found on her yet.
The record I have for Arthur George Stone passed away on December 26,1956 in San Antonio, Texas USA.
There is no record of his parents names or a specific town in England on his death certificate.
Any information is much appreciated.

according to www.freebmd.org.uk there is no Arthur George Stone born in the correct quarter (in this instance, it should be the Oct/Nov/Dec qtr) of 1879. There is a Arthur George Stone bn Dec qtr 1880 in HUngerford, Berkshire but I think I can follow him through the censuses to at least 1901.
Do you have him on all the US censuses?
-
I can see the Death record on Ancestry which gives the same information as posted above but nothing obvious in the census so far - will keep looking.
-
I can't see anything obvious in the US censuses either, nor anything possible on the passenger lists.

There is a birth record for Adela here - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/F6PV-BSQ
Do you have this family on any US census records? If so, the census records from 1900-1930 should give you an idea of when Arthur immigrated and when the couple married.
A man born in 1879, living in the US, and not already in the military would have been required to fill out draft registration cards during WWI & WWII. These are also available on www.familysearch.org. Neither of these are showing up in my search, so I'm wondering if maybe a name change was involved.

On Mary/Maria's side, I believe she remarried.

In 1910 with Adele and Alice in the household as "Martinez" children:

and in 1930:

(note Adela's name - here is the marriage under Stone: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/K61G-RXH )

Maria died in 1952 - note parents!

And here is her birth in 1872:

I'm having real trouble finding any trace of either Arthur George, Mary, or the two girls in the 1900 census. Original copies of the marriage records would hopefully show if Arthur was divorced at the time of the later marriages - there might also be divorce or newspaper records that could provide more details.
One problem - this man appears to have signed up (Philomena is next of kin) in WWI and his birthdate does not match that given at death:
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KZ6Y-747
(but perhaps the info on the death certificate is not particularly trustworthy).
Interestingly - the later censuses show him as emigrated quite young (1881, 1884) and that WWI card shows him as naturalised through father's naturalisation while he was still a minor.

I found an article from the San Antonio Light from February 6, 1929 that indicates the state of Texas brought a proceeding against A.G. Stone for child abandonment. A bond of $200 was ordered forfeited for failure to appear.
There is a death notice for Arthur which doesn't give much more info than is on the death certificate. It says religious services were being held at Iglesia Baptista Church.
