Thank Neil can't find them on Trove either I know they were at queanbeyan at some stage but might have to troll the electol rolls and see if there is a mention of them. If ellen was born at morpeth and married at queanbeyan they must be somewhere. Maybe that isn't there real names.

Hi
Free settler has an Edmond and an Edward Tyne

Worth looking into
Quinn is the mothers maiden name area seems right and guessing claro is clarence town :)

Death Edward Tyne 1874 West Maitland.
If Ellen was living at Oatley in 1921 then sections of my family must have known her, strange how things work out.

Hi there,
1843 ish, NSW, Early Church Records, Lynne or Tynne or could it have been mis-transcribed as COYNE ? Remember, the index was not actually prepared until the 1930s, so there's lots of reasons for mistakes in the indexes (including of course, lack of records, lack of pages in a register, and not just poor handwriting in the registers, or errors in reading and transcribing those registers).
There’s an 1843 baptism indexed at NSW BDM for Ellen COYNE, Vol 121A, line 946, with parents as Edward and Mary.
Vol 121 is one of the Supplementary Registers
http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/state-archives/guides-and-finding-aids
then
http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/state-archives/guides-and-finding-aids/short-guide-4/short-guide-4
then
http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/state-archives/guides-and-finding-aids/short-guide-4/volumes-1-123-1/volumes-1-123
then Vol 121 (1-end (8789)) Supplementary Register Baptisms 1830-1901 is at Reel 5046
“transcriptions of baptismal entries copied by the Registrar General from church registers acquired or made available on loan from the various churches for check with official records”
Have you searched familysearch for a baptism in New South Wales 1843ish for Ellen or Eleanor or variations?
There may be elusive blanks in civil registration for NSW marriages 1856-1895. Some of those blanks include parents names ::) so of course, that info will be on the original Church registers.
Do we know the denomination for the family? (Which section of the cemetery ??)
Cheers JM

Ellen STODDART of Oatley has a deceased estate file. Her death 11 Feb 1921 and Probate 13 June 1921. Could be there's family history documents in that file at NSW SRO at Kingswood.
I have not found LYNE in or around Queanbeyan circa 1870 on any Electoral Roll. ::) suggesting to me it is possible there's a transcribed mistooken in an index somewheres.
PS a red post RIGHT NOW ;D ;D ;D so I ADD
"Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post."
So I did, it is Neil explaining. So I have decided to post anyways ;D as my post is not duplicating his efforts (until I add these notes)
Cheers, JM

;D
Could the surname be TYREE :-\ :-\ :-\
As in Andrew TYREE at Queanbeyan in 1862 :) (perhaps sprung for a tad of Cattle Stealing at Queanbeyan as per NSW SRO)
Perhaps he was on the 1870 roll as Andrew TYRIE qualified by residency at Norongo
Cheers, JM

Outside the square thoughts about Morpeth. I wonder if in 1921 everyone was assuming Morpeth, NSW, afterall, surely the civil county for Morpeth NSW is Northumberland?
I wonder if she was Eleanor LINN, and her birth was registered at Morpeth, Northumberland, ENGLAND in the 2nd Quarter of 1842 ...... (GRO # 25/309 ) (others with that surname have births registered that district to 1849, but not in more recent years :) )

Could be huge red herring,BUT ALSO...James and Caroline LYNN were have a pile of kids (10) from 1843 onwards some later (after 1856) at Braidwood. Similarly deaths recorded Braidwood but others later across the north of NSW.
In one instance only James and Caroline had a child recorded as LINN
Neil
(just adding to the confusion) :D
MODIFIED... :D
An Edward LYNN died at Wentworth NSW 1930 Son of Edward and Marie

Hi Wiven
these are Ellen's children need to go back one more step
thanks for looking
-
JM
didn't give that a thought for England - i probably did the worst and assumed as her dc states time in colony as no entry thought that would mean she was born here
-
wivenhoes find is tops...
Who was the informant for Adas birth? If you do not have that record that is one of the few times my pennies would get the real deal cert in case a parent of Ellen was providing the info.....
NSW BDM birth rego for that era are photo images of the rego ... so you get signature of informant ... Adas seems to include TYNE in mothers name column in index ... BIG clue there .... BC should also give age and place of birth of babes parents ...
May I suggest Putting Morpeth UK aside for moment until ADas birth details sorted
Cheers JM
