I am looking for any information on Mary Calbreath admitted to exminster lunatic asylum 1865
died there January 1881
There is no death on freebmd for a Mary Calbreath in 1881

Is this the Scottish name Galbraith?
Skoosh.
-
When and where was she born. Calbreath seems to be a Devon name.

Was it her married name?
There is a Mary Ann Organ that becomes a Mary Calbreath born c.1833 Nibley Glous. father Benjamin Organ, disappears after the 1861 census ?

Looks like it was her married name as it gives her as married wife of Labourer. Does not say Mary only gives initial M.

Carolew, Jacquelineve, Jennifer and Skoosh
Thank you for your prompt replies
Jacquelineve and Carolew have got the right one
In the 1851 census she is in Preston Lancashire with her family
In the 1871 census she is in Exminster lunatic asylum
Calbreath is her married name, her husband was born Tiverton Devon
In the 1861 census her son William age 9 is in the Tiverton workhouse and 2 other children are working locally as servants.
I would appreciate any information covering 1865 to 1891
Many thanks

So are you confirming that she died in 1891 - not 1881 as you originally stated?
That would make her birthyear approx 1826
In 1851 she is Mary Ann Calbrerght b 1826 Lancaster - wife of William
If you are looking for info re: her time in the 2 asylums - presumably her Lancaster records would have been sent with her when she was moved to Exminster
