Anyone researching John C Adams b 3/11/1832 Plymouth?

I could only locate a John Charles ADAMS baptised 22 Nov 1829 at Plymouth St Andrew. (Base son of Mary Ann)

John is not in my tree. I have come across a sailors log in my late Mother in Law's papers with his list of ships and dates of sailing. How she had this I have no idea but I thought I would try to find his family and return it to them. His DOB and place of birth is on it so I thought anyone researching him would start at Plymouth.

Hope this all makes sense!
