Hello Robert - Probably best to start a separate thread, and give us whatever info you have on the Sears so far so that we have as starting point.

Hi Steve, thanks for your Reply,

I am searching for anything to do with the Sear Family from Whitwick. I have a postcard from a James Edward Jackson who was an Australian prisoner of war in WW1. The postcard is addressed to my dear brother Frank Sear, Hermitage Road Whitwick and mentions Fred and Lizzie.  I have managed to find rumours that William and Edward left Whitwick and emigrated to Australia.
I cant find any reason why one of them changed his name to James Edward Jackson. i have done lots of research on the Sear family and can trace your branch back a long way

Regards Robert
