Hi,
Does any one out there have a photograph of the Crown and Anchor Public House which was in Brook Street in Ratcliff, East London.
My GGGrandfather was a Publican there in the 1911 census and would like to obtain a photo or image of this Pub.
Many thanks.

There was a basically identical thread in 2009 but unfortunately nobody had a photo: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=362486.0
It may be worth personal messaging FaerieFan though, in case he later found/was sent a photo.

You might want to try contacting Tower Hamlets Local History library. They have thousands of photos of the area.

Hi Shaun J and Spiderboy,
Thanks for your message's, have seen the site but unfortunately they
do not have a picture of the pub. Would be interested if any one has any
photo's of Brook Street, East London even if the pub is not clearly shown.
Regards and thanks.

There's this sketch of Brook Street in Limehouse which is very close to (probably the same unless anyone knows this area well) as the one in Ratcliff? http://www.victorianweb.org/art/illustration/pennell/7.html
