i would like some information for a lovely old lady who is looking for any information in regards to this lady her name was Ellen Brown[she realises that there are alot of Browns around]
All that is known of this particular lady is that she was born December 4th 1902 or 1904.
There is a place called Chapel-en-le frith where she was baptised.
If it may help she has a sister named Minnie who married Albert Ernest Draper.
Her parents were Phillip Brown [1876-1952] and Mary Brown.
Ellen was nicknamed 'Nellie'.
Please if you could help this dear old lady it would be lovely as she has been looking for this missing link for sometime now
Thank you for your time

Hi
There is such a family on the 1911 census index but Rootschat do not allow 1911 details to be published because of copyright issues
However - if you follow the instructions below - you will be able to get details for free
USING THE FREE 1911 INDEX TO DETERMINE THE CORRECT HOUSEHOLD
http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx
Once you find a possible match - make a note of the county and district in which the person was living
Return to the index and in PERSONAL DETAILS - just put the surname of the family - nothing else
In LOCATION - Select the county and below it - type in the district
In OTHER MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD - show the full name of the person you have found on the index
Click SEARCH
The 1911 census is strictly pay per view so you will have to buy credits to view the full entry - the above instructions will only help to possibly show others of the same surname in the same household
You can check birthplaces for free using GRU
http://www.GenesReunited.co.uk/search.page/index/census_1911
Post - 1911 info could be a lot more difficult given the commonality of the surname
if she married in Derbyshire - you should be able to find the marriage on freebmd

The marriage of Albert EW Draper and Minnie Brown was 1927, Derbyshire, Sep qu, Vol 7B, Pg 2075.
If Ellen/Nellie was a witness for Minnie you would at least know what her surname was in 1927. It might help in narrowing down a possible marriage for her.
